Low maternal folate is a risk factor in the development of neural tube defects in the developing fetus – so if you are trying for a baby ,if you take no other supplement at all, be sure that you take the recommended dose of 400mcg folic acid every day.
Other key nutrients for conception are minerals including zinc which is scientifically proven to contribute to normal fertility and reproduction. Zinc, selenium and arginine contribute to the support of healthy sperm. Whilst Zinc, CQ-Q10, Magnesium, Calcium and Bvitamins contribute to the support of egg production
